The executive meeting of the State Council held on the 7th decided that the 127th Canton Fair will be held online in the middle and late June. This will be the first time that China's oldest trade fair will be held entirely online, so that Chinese and foreign merchants can place orders and do business without leaving the house.

At present, the epidemic situation of New Coronary Pneumonia is spreading globally and the situation is grim. The meeting decided to invite domestic and foreign merchants to display products online, use advanced information technology, provide all-weather online promotion, supply and docking, online negotiation and other services to create an online foreign trade platform of high-quality specialty products.
"Holding the" Online Canton Fair "is a new attempt under special conditions and special backgrounds." Zhuang Rui, deputy dean of the International Economics Institute of the University of International Business and Economics, said that on the one hand, Chinese and foreign businessmen have strong needs and demands, and continue to use the Canton Fair as an international Recognized as an important trading platform to do business; on the other hand, the development of China's digital economy has made it possible for us to host the "Online Canton Fair".
Zhang Yansheng, chief researcher of the China International Economic Exchange Center, believes that holding the "Online Canton Fair" will allow trade to be free from restrictions such as booths, negotiating rooms, hotels, and more. What is more important is that in the past, trade will be based on volume, and in the future, we will work harder. "'Online Canton Fair' just happens to provide such an opportunity for cloud computing, big data, industrial Internet of Things, etc. to better promote the high-quality development of trade in practice."
Under the epidemic, how to stabilize the basic foreign trade foreign capital? Several heavy measures were also launched at the meeting on the same day, involving the establishment of a comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone and support for processing trade.
The meeting decided that on the basis of the establishment of 59 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test areas, 46 new cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test areas were established. The director of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics E-commerce Research Center Lao Ling believes that through the expansion of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test area, taking advantage of the cross-border e-commerce policy as a buffer, and with the help of tax and other relevant policy preferences, foreign trade companies can help all over the difficulties.
The meeting introduced three measures to support processing trade enterprises to alleviate difficulties:
First, domestic bonded materials or finished products for processing trade shall be sold domestically, and tax deferred interest shall be temporarily exempted before the end of the year. Second, it is necessary to expand the pilot of processing trade enterprises to pay customs duties on imported materials or finished products to all comprehensive bonded areas. Third, we must expand the scope of industries that encourage foreign investment and reduce the types of products prohibited by processing trade. Experts believe that the series of measures introduced at the meeting are a continuation and supplement to the previous policy, which is helpful to deal with the severe situation and effectively stabilize foreign trade and foreign investment.
